Pakistan's pace spearhead Shaheen Shah Afridi and veteran West Indies' batter Kieron Pollard were spotted exchanging verbal volleys in a heated exchange in a Pakistan Super League match between Lahore Qalandars and Multan Sultans on Wednesday (March 15).

The duel between the two star players took place in the 19th over of the Multan Sultans' innings when the explosive Pollard cracked Afridi for three maximums. Afridi conceded 20 runs in that over which left him fuming in anger. After the over ended, the duo confronted each other and were seen embroiled in a heated conversation where they both exchanged few words in exasperation. Afridi went past Pollard before returning to exchange verbal volley with Pollard.

Here's the video…

The muscular right-handed batter exploded at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore and unleashed six sixes in his 34-ball 57-run knock that played a pivotal role behind Multan becoming the first team to qualify for the final. The highlight of Pollard's knock came in the 18th and the 19th over when he destroyed two of the best fast bowlers in the world -Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf.

In the 18th over, the lanky West Indian smashed a six and a four off Rauf's bowling while in the following over bowled by Shaheen, Pollard whacked three maximums to send the crown in a frenzy. The 35-year-old also smashed a six in the 17th over bowled by Shaheen.

In total, Pollard whacked four sixes off Shaheen's bowling and one maximum of Rauf's bowling in the last four overs of Multan's innings. Courtesy of the right-handed batter's power-hitting, Multan posted a competitive total of 160/5 in 20 overs. Lahore suffered a major collapse with the bat as the team was bundled out for just 76 runs in 14.3 overs. It was mainly because of Pollard's entertaining knock that Multan registered a massive 84-run win in a crunch game.
