Bangladesh's 22-year-old opener enters Jos Buttler's list with T20I century in Sharjah

Bangladesh's young opener Parvez Hossain Emon scripted history at Sharjah Cricket Stadium, UAE. Emon became the fourth batter to score a T20I century at the venue. Here is a list of other three batters -

The first batter on the list is Afghanistan's Mohammad Shahzad. In 2016, Shahzad scored an unbeaten 118 off 67 balls against Zimbabwe. His knock featured 10 fours and 8 sixes.

Five years later, England's former T20I captain Jos Buttler entered the list with an unbeaten 101 against Sri Lanka. England won the T20 World Cup 2021 clash by 26 runs. Buttler is the only non-Asian batter to score a T20I century in Sharjah.

Afghanistan's Rahmanullah Gurbaz scored a 52-ball 100 against UAE to help his side post 203/3. Afghanistan beat UAE by a big margin of 72 runs.

The latest entrant on the list is Parvez Hossain Emon. The Bangladesh opener hit nine sixes in his maiden T20I century, most by any batter at the venue. Bangladesh beat UAE by 27 runs.

Parvez Hossain Emon is also the second Bangladesh batter to score a T20I century. The left-handed batter achieved the feat in his eighth T20I appearance.

The first Bangladesh batter to score a T20I century is Tamim Iqbal. The former Bangladesh opener scored 103 off 63 balls against Oman in T20 World Cup 2016 Qualifiers.
