Dewald Brevis joins Yashasvi Jaiswal in this list after explosive century against Australia in second T20I
Brevis played an incredible knock of 125 runs against Australia and was crucial in South Africa's 53-run victory in the match

South Africa batter Dewald Brevis played a stunning knock of 125 runs from just 56 deliveries against Australia in the second T20I of the threee-match series. The 22-year-old showed no mercy to the opposing bowling and smacked them all around the TIO Stadium in Darwin to help his side in posting a huge total on the board.

Brevis' stunning knock was laced with 12 boundaries and 8 towering sixes, massively helping South Africa in posting a total of 218/7 in 20 overs. The young batter steadied the visitors' inning when they were at 57/3 by forming a terrific 126-run stand alongside Tristan Stubbs.

The century saw Brevis become the fifth youngest batter to score a century in the shortest format (among Test playing nations). The list also includes two Indian players with both Yashasvi Jaiswal and Tilak Varma appearing on it.

The century massively helped South Africa in winning the match by 53 runs. Australia were only able to put up a total of 165/9 on the board in reply as Kwena Maphaka and Corbin Bosch both took three scalps each. The series is now level at 1-1 and will be decided in the third and final match which will be contested on Ausgust 16.

Brevis also contributed well in the field during the second T20I and took the catches of both Glenn Maxwell and Alex Carey. It remains to be seen if he will be able to continue this form in the the third T20I as well.
