Najmul Hossain Shanto notched up scores of 8 and 19 respectively in the first and second innings of the second Test against Sri Lanka. Najmul Shanto cracked a four and a six in his 19-run knock. With this he left behind Shakib Al Hasan in the list of Bangladesh batters who have struck most sixes in Tests. While Najmul has tonked 29 sixes, Shakib hammered 28 maximums against his name.

Najmul Hossain Shanto has now surged to fourth spot in the list of Bangladeshi batters with most sixes in Tests. Notably, Tamim Iqbal tops the chart with 41 maximums with Mushfiqur Rahim following him in second spot in 37 sixes.
