Story Highlights:

Delhi needs eight wicket on last day to win against Jammu & Kashmir.

Jammu and Kashmir are close to a memorable win over Delhi in their Ranji Trophy 2025-26 Group D clash, as they need just 114 runs on the final day with eight wickets in hand at Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi.

After the end of the third day, Jammu & Kashmir were 55 for 2 in pursuit of 179, with a full day’s play left.

Jammu & Kashmir's innings

Debutant left-arm spinner Mannan Bhardwaj made an early impact, bowling Shubham Khajuria through the gate with a ball that stayed low. Soon after, Hrithik Shokeen got Vivrant Sharma out, with a delivery that pitched on middle stump and turned sharply to hit the off-stump as Sharma lunged forward.

Delhi's innings

Earlier, Delhi had put up 277 runs in 69.1 overs in their second innings, thanks to half-centuries from Ayush Badoni (72 off 73 balls) and Ayush Doseja (62 off 88 balls).

The opening partnership of Sanat Sangwan (34) and Arpit Rana (43) added 86 runs, but it was Badoni’s innings on a tricky pitch that stood out. Left-arm spinner Vanshaj Sharma (6 for 68) and off-spinner Sahil Lothra (3 for 73) bowled sharply, with many deliveries keeping low. The last five Delhi wickets fell for just 10 runs, but Badoni’s batting was a treat, as he skillfully handled the spinners and kept Delhi in the game.

On the other hand, Shams Mulani's wicket haul helped Mumbai to register a dominationg 120 runs and an inning win against Himachal Pradesh at Bandra Kurla Complex Sharad Pawar Cricket Academy in Mumbai. This was Mumbai's second consecutive win in the Ranji Trophy 2025-26.

Brief Scores:

Delhi: 211 & 277 (Ayush Badoni 72, Ayush Doseja 62, Vanshaj Sharma 6/63)
