Trident Stallions will face BLV Blasters in the final of Sher-e-Punjab T20 Cup 2024 final.

Sher-e-Punjab T20 Cup 2024 final will be played at I.S. Bindra Punjab Cricket Association Stadium in Punjab.

After registering one sided victory in the semifinals Trident Stallions will face BLV Blasters for the final of the ongoing Sher-e-Punjab T20 Cup 2024.  Trident Stallions won the first semi-final by 57 runs. They scored 203 runs for eight wickets. In response, the team of Agri Kings Knights collapsed for 146 runs. Their star opener Abhishek Sharma was unable to open his account in the semifinal. In the second semi-final, BLV Blasters won the match by 53 runs. They scored 224 runs for six wickets against JK Super Strikers. Super Strikers was bowled out for 171 runs.
 

In the first semi-final, Prabhsimran Singh's team made a strong start by batting first. Prabhsimran and Abhay shared a 117-run partnership in 10.4 overs for the first wicket. After this, the rest of the batters played short and explosive innings, which helped the franchise to cross the 200 runs mark. Abhay was the highest scorer with 92 runs. He hit 12 fours and two sixes. In the middle order, Sahil Sharma played an unbeaten innings of 34 runs three three fours and as many sixes in 12 balls. For Agri Kings Knights, Varinder Sing picked up seven wickets and Sumit Sharmagot three scalps for 39 runs. In response, the Knights had a very bad start. Both the openers in the form of Sahaj Dhawan and Abhishek Sharma became victims of golden duck. Both were dismissed by Gurwinder Singh Bhullar. Varinder Singh played the highest innings of 49 runs.

In the second semi-final, BLV Blasters destroyed the bowling of JK Super Strikers with the stormy play of Harnoor Singh (96), Naman Dhir (59) and Harpreet Brar (20). There was a partnership of 94 runs in 10 overs between Harnoor and Taranveer Singh for the first wicket. Taranveer, however, was slow and scored only 30 runs in 29 balls. After his departure, the team's run rate picked up and the score crossed the 200-run mark in the 18th over.

 

In reply, the Strikers tried to fight back but the pressure of the big target overwhelmed them. For them, number eight batsman Prerit Dutta made the highest score of 50 runs. Sanveer Singh (37), Kartik Sharma (27) and Shahbaz Singh Sandhu (20) also tried to score runs but it was not enough.
