South Africa star all-rounder, Marco Jansen, created history during the second Test match against India as he became the first Proteas to score a half-century and take a six-wicket haul as well in a Test match against India. The 25-year-old scored 93 runs from 91 balls in the first innings of the second Test and on the next day, during India's batting, he picked up six wickets, conceding 48 runs in a 20-over spell.
Jansen's first wicket was Dhruv Jurel's dismissal in the morning session, and in the post-tea session, he accounted for the dismissal of Rishabh Pant (7), Nitish Kumar Reddy (10) and Ravindra Jadeja (6). He completed the five-wicket haul in the third session, removing Kuldeep Yadav. Aiden Markram caught Kuldeep on the fifth ball of the 82nd over after scoring 19 runs from 134 balls. His sixth wicket came in the form of Jasprit Bumrah. Wicketkeeper Kyle Verreynne caught India's pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah after scoring 5 runs from 17 balls.
