Revealed! Why Jasprit Bumrah travelled back home ahead of third T20I against South Africa

India pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah his missed the third T20I against South Africa as the Suryakumar Yadav-led side added Harshit Rana in the playing XI in place of the legendary speedster. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and T20I skipper revealed that Bumrah has returned home due to personal reasons. 

Why did Bumrah travel back to home?

However, Bumrah was reportedly forced to fly back home because a very close family member of the bowler is currently hospitalised, and if all goes well, then he might return for the fourth or even fifth game (in Ahmedabad).

Apart from Bumrah, Axar Patel also missed out on the third T20I, and the team added Kuldeep Yadav in his place. The spin-rounder was unable to feature because he was unwell. 

However, India defeated South Africa by seven wickets to take a 2-1 lead in the five-match series and the fourth clash will take place on December 17 at Ekana Stadium in Lucknow. 

Axar ruled out of remaining T20Is

The Board of Control for Cricket in India announced that India's star all-rounder Axar Patel has been ruled out of the remaining two T20I matches against South Africa due to illness, and the selection committee named Shahbaz Ahmed as his replacement for the remainder of the T20I series against South Africa.
