In a potential crossover that could break the internet, global YouTube sensation MrBeast, also known as Jimmy Donaldson, has extended a public invitation to Indian cricket superstar Virat Kohli to feature in one of his upcoming videos.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), MrBeast wrote, “@imVkohli Hey! Anyway I could get you in a video?” — sparking excitement among millions of fans who would love to see the two icons collaborate.
Not MrBeast’s First Attempt at Connecting with Kohli
Interestingly, this isn’t the first time MrBeast has expressed interest in teaming up with Kohli. In an episode of The Ranveer Show last year, he told host Ranveer Allahbadia,
"I have been wanting to film with Virat for the longest time. I just know like people here worship him and love him." His admiration for Kohli’s global popularity and influence was clear.
MrBeast has no doubt appeared in some grand collaborations featuring fellow stars like Portuguese footballing great Cristiano Ronaldo, Indian-Youtuber CarryMinati, or Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez. However, a collab with Kohli would undoubtedly be his greatest video ever, owing to the cricketer's enormous global appeal.
Virat Kohli: A Sporting Icon
Virat Kohli, as one of the finest contemporary batsmen, has continued to dazzle in international and franchise arenas. With the debut in 2008, Kohli has scored more than 15,000 runs in Tests and ODIs and more than 3,000 in T20 internationals.
Since the inception of the Indian Premier League (IPL), Kohli has been RCB's face. He is leading run-scorer of all-time in IPL with 8,326 runs in 260 matches. Currently, RCB is fourth in IPL 2025 standings with 10 points from eight games. They are set to face Rajasthan Royals next in Bengaluru on Thursday.
Virat Kohli has been a backbone for the side over these years and continue to do so in this season too. He has scored 322 runs in 8 matches at an average of 64.40.
The Supernova Qualifier: Why Mr. Beast Wants Kohli
Mr. Beast is, however, the most subscribed individual on YouTube with 386 million subscribers, while Virat Kohli has a mammoth following of 271 million on Instagram, which makes him one of the most followed athletes worldwide. The presence of both together could shatter all records, possibly linking cricket and global internet culture as never before.
As fans wait to see if the collaboration actually materializes, one thing is clear — the internet is already buzzing with anticipation over the possibility of two of the world’s biggest digital and sports personalities coming together.
