Bangladesh's 15-member squad for the upcoming ODI series against Australia, scheduled to kick off on June 3, has been announced. Mehidy Hasan Miraz will lead the Bangladesh squad while experienced all-rounder Mosaddek Hossain broke back into the one-day international setup after a prolonged four-year absence. His national recall comes on the heels of a highly productive spell in the ongoing Dhaka Premier League, where he has displayed spectacular form while representing Abahani Limited.

Bangladesh ODI squad for Australia announced
In Bangladesh’s traditional domestic List A competition, Mosaddek has been in sublime touch, compiling 310 runs across six innings at an outstanding average of 77.50 and an aggressive strike rate of 129.17. His run-scoring feats include a century and two half-centuries, which he complemented by claiming 12 wickets in seven innings with the ball. This comprehensive all-round dominance made a compelling case for his selection, with the team management bringing him in specifically to lengthen the batting lineup and inject better balance into the bowling unit.

Alongside Mosaddek's comeback, veteran wicketkeeper-batter Nurul Hasan Sohan has also earned a recall to the national side after sitting out the previous ODI series against New Zealand. Sohan’s inclusion comes at the expense of Afif Hossain and Mahidul Islam Ankon, both of whom have been dropped from the squad.
