Yuvraj Singh's father Yograj Singh lavished praise on former India captain MS Dhoni for his motivation and ability to read the wicket. MS Dhoni is arguably the best captain India has ever produced the team won all the ICC titles under his leadership (except the WTC final because it was introduced in 2021).
Yograj believes that Dhoni was a fearless cricketer who could read the wicket and tell bowlers where to land a delivery.
“I find Dhoni as a very motivated captain, who can tell people what to do,” Yograj said on “Unfiltered by Samdish.”
“The best thing about Dhoni was that he could read the wicket can tell bowlers where to bowl,” he added.
“What I liked the most about him was that he was a fearless man.
Yograj also recalled MS Dhoni's batting in Australia when he got hit on his helmet grill by speedster Mitchell Johnson.

“If you remember in Australia, he was hit on the grill by Mitchell Johnson and he didn’t moved a bit, he stood there and next ball he pulled him for a six. Aise log kaafi kam hote hai (There are very few people like him),” he said.
Earlier, Yograj Singh's old interview sparked controversy when he alleged Dhoni for ending his son Yuvraj's career.
“That man (MS Dhoni) has destroyed the life of my son, who could have played four to five years more,” he said during and interaction with Zee Switch’s YouTube channel.
However, Dhoni has announced his retirement from all forms of international cricket. The legendary wicketkeeper batter also resigned from Indian Premier League's (IPL) captaincy before the last edition of the tournament. He was recently spotted spending quality time with his family. He will now be seen in the action in IPL 2025 for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) which is scheduled to start from March 14.
