England pacer Jofra Archer jumped 16 places while Adil Rashid also climbed 7 spots on the ICC ODI bowler Rankings following their superb performances with the ball in the third and final ODI of the series against South Africa. The Three Lions won the match by a mammoth 342-run margin following a dominant display in both the batting and bowling departments. Archer (4/18) and Rashid (3/13) were the pick of the bowlers for the side as they bundled out the Proteas for only 72 runs after giving them a target of 415 to chase.
Archer has moved up to the third place on the ODI bowler rankings with 654 rating points under his name. His teammate Rashid also entered the top 10 and ranked at the 8th spot with 628 rating points. On the other hand, South Africa spinner Keshav Maharaj, who was adjudged as the Player of the Series against England, retained his spot as the top-ranked bowler of the one-day format with 680 rating points.

Multiple England batters also made significant gains on the ODI batter rankings with Joe Root climbing 5 spots and ending up at the 19th place, Jos Buttler moving up 7 places to the 35th position and Jacob Bethell jumping a massive 55 spots and reaching the 65th position. Notably, all the three batters had performed brilliantly in the 3rd ODI against South Africa with Root and Bethell scoring centuries and Buttler hitting an explosive fifty.
Coming to the all-rounder rankings, both Rashid and Archer once again made gains with the former climbing up 3 places and reaching the 16th position and the latter climbing 27 places and ending up at the 41st spot, level on rating points with Maharaj and fellow countryman Liam Livingstone.
England's T20I series against South Africa
Meanwhile, England will be looking to defeat South Africa in the three-match T20I series which is set to commence from September 10. The Proteas clinched the ODI series by 2-1, so the Three Lions will be trying to emerge victorious in the T20I assignment. The opening game of the series is set to be played at the Sophia Gardens Cricket Ground in Cardiff.
