India-Pakistan matches have always turned out to be an electrifying clash and the excitement and enthusiasm of the followers and fans have been always worth seeing. In an exclusive conversation with Sports Tak, former Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar had his answers ready for this question.
In a conversation with with Sports Tak, during the Howzat Legends League Cricket which is being played in Oman, Akhtar opened up on this topic. When the former pacer was asked about the exciting match he said that “both India and Pakistan are good teams” but India “will lose again” if they again play the way they had played in last year’s T20 World Cup.
“Both India and Pakistan are good teams. India played badly in Dubai, so they lost and if they play bad again in Melbourne, they will lose again. Both are good teams,” Akhtar told Sports Tak.
10-wicket defeat
Pakistan defeated India in the T20 World Cup 2021 and they were able to achieve multiple records in its name. Indian team faced a humiliating defeat by 10 wickets in their opening match of the tournament. The Pakistan team, on the other hand, continued to perform well in the tournament after that sensational defeat against team India led by Virat Kohli. The Pakistan team emerged as the group leaders and reached the semi-finals. But eventually they had to suffer a defeat against Australia in the semi-finals by five wickets.
The T20 World Cup 2022 is scheduled to be held in Australia from October 16 to November 13 and the grand event will be played at seven venues- Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, Geelong, Hobart and Perth.
