With his incredible century against South Africa in Durban, India's opening batter Sanju Samson created headlines and joined a select few who have struck consecutive hundreds in T20 international matches against Bangladesh and Proteas. Since his T20 debut, which garnered him a lot of admirers at an early age, Sanju, the captain of the Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League (IPL), has been recognized for his intent and brave performance as a batter. But he also had a reputation for being erratic, which may have prevented him from earning a stable berth in the Indian T20I squad for almost ten years. His luck seemed to have improved with the retirements of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.
Sanju smashed back-to-back centuries in two consecutive T20I matches but after that, he also recorded two successive ducks and got out at the hands of Marco Jansen. He will be looking forward to bouncing back in the fourth and final T20I and producing another great knock from his bat
In a video, which is going viral on social media at a rapid pace, The father of the India star Sanju Samson revealed shocking information about past Indian captains, like Rohit, Kohli, Dhoni, and coach Rahul Dravid, who did not give his son a fair chance in the national team, after his recent century in the current South Africa T20I tour. However, Sports Tak does not confirm the credibility of the video.
Sanju Samson's father slams Dhoni, Virat, Rohit and Dravid
Samson Vishwanath, Sanju's father and a Delhi Police constable who played for the Delhi football squad in the Santosh Trophy, had previously disclosed that he had resigned from his position and made numerous sacrifices for his son's accomplishments. In an interview with a Kerala-based Malayalam news outlet, which is going viral, he can be seen accusing former India management of destroying ten years of his son's career, but he also stated that Sanju will make up for it in the upcoming years when India participates in the current T20I series in South Africa.
He name-dropped some really big cricketing names like Indian skippers MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and head coach Rahul Dravid. He blamed them for ruining crucial 10 years of Sanju's International cricket career.
"There are 3-4 people who wasted 10 years of my son's vital career...captains like Dhoni ji, Virat [Kohli] ji, Rohit [Sharma] ji and coach [Rahul] Dravid ji. These four people destroyed 10 years of my son's life but the more they hurt him, the stronger Sanju came out of the crisis," said Sanju Samson's father in the viral video.
Sanju's father also slammed former BCCI chief selector and 1983 World Cup winner, Kris Srikkanth for his comments on the India wicket-keeper.
"What hurt me really bad was comments from [Kris Srikkanth], the player from Tamil Nadu. I don't know what he has played. To this day, that individual has not spoken a good word of encouragement about my son, but has hurt him a lot with his words." he said.
"He said - 'against whom did Sanju score a century? It was only Bangladesh,'. People have been saying he [Srikkanth] was a great player but I haven't seen it. Century is a century, and that guy has scored only 26 runs against Bangladesh. Sanju has scored a hundred and he is a player with a classical touch like Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid. At least respect that!" he said during the interview.
