Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is currently preparing to host the upcoming edition of the Champions Trophy 2025 which is scheduled for the next year in February. The International Cricket Council (ICC) which recently sent a five-member team to visit Pakistan to perform inspection for the marquee event might be concerned about the venue. The Pakistan board has given 31st January as the final date for ICC to complete the renovation process of all grounds that will be hosting the matches of the mega tournament.
ICC delegation visited Pakistan to take stock of the preparations for the Champions Trophy and ICC to give their feedback to the PCB in the coming days but in a major development reliable sources in the know of the development told Sports Tak that the ICC delegation has visited the facilities and have met officials now they will give the feedback to host board but as far as their satisfaction is concerned there might be some concerns on the venue upgradations other than that I don’t think there should be any issue.

When Sports Tak further asked that what is the status of the venues source said as of now all scheduled venues are under upgradation and PCB has given a deadline of 31st January to ICC to complete the upgradations. This might be a concern to ICC because the Champions Trophy is scheduled to be played on Feb 19. This means PCB will have to escalate the upgrade process to meet the deadline. Four months from now to get everything sorted which might be a tough task for Pakistan.
