India's star batter Smriti Mandhana has once again set a new record, this time becoming the fastest Indian woman to score an ODI fifty.

Mandhana scripted history during the third ODI against Australia at the Arun Jaitley stadium where she struck , the left-hander reached the milestone in just 23 balls, surpassing her teammate Richa Ghosh, who previously held the record with a 26-ball fifty.

Mandhana didn't stop there as she notched another history by hammering the fastest ODI century in the history of Indian cricket both in Men's and Women's.

The star southpaw reached her 13th century in the format in just 50 deliveries, surpassing Virat Kohli's previous record of a 52-ball hundred against Australia in 2013.

In pursuit of a daunting target of 413 runs, Mandhana provided the exact start the Indian women's team needed at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. She is currently batting on 120 runs off just 60 balls, an innings studded with 16 fours and 5 sixes. The Indian captain, Harmanpreet Kaur, is also at the crease, unbeaten on 52 from 34 balls. The team has already put up a formidable 206 runs in the first 20 overs, having lost only two wickets.

In women's cricket, the fastest century ever recorded belongs to Meg Lanning, who reached the milestone in 45 balls against New Zealand. Earlier in the same match, Australia's Beth Mooney scored a century in 57 deliveries, making it the joint second-fastest. However, Mandhana's brilliant performance has now rewritten the record books, setting a new benchmark for speed in Indian cricket.
