Italian footballer faces hate comments for wishing Kohli on birthday.

She gives the trolls and haters a befitting reply.

The popularity of star Indian cricketer Virat Kohli extends beyond the boundaries of nations that play cricket. Even in places where cricket is not as popular, Kohli has a sizable following base. Italian football player Agata Isabella Centasso, who plays for Venezia Calcio 1985 in Serie B, a second-division football league in Italy, is one such Virat Kohli admirer. Agata frequently posts about the Indian star, Virat Kohli, because she is a big fan of him.

Agata took to X on Virat Kohli's 36th birthday to wish the Indian icon a happy birthday. She shared a photo of herself in an Indian cricket team's jersey, tagging Kohli and captioning it 'Happy birthday from a fan in Italy. All the best to you.'. Best wishes to you. However, some fans unnecessarily found issues with her message, accusing her of using Virat Kohli's name to attract Indian fans.

Centasso gives befitting reply to the haters

Agata was expectedly irritated with the trolls and gave them a really befitting reply. "Every time I post something about Virat Kohli or cricket, there’s always someone bringing negativity. I honestly don’t understand why. Namaste," she wrote.

Kohli's dismal show in Tests

Lately, Virat Kohli has not been appearing in his best form. He scored 70 runs in the opening Test of the Test series against New Zealand, but he made no more noteworthy contributions as India lost shockingly 0–3. Actually, Kohli's difficulties in the Test format are not brand-new. Given how much the team depends on him, it is extremely alarming for India that the experienced batsman has only scored two hundred in the last four years.

Between 2019 and 2022, Kohli had a serious slump during which he failed to reach the 100-run mark. His century against Afghanistan in the 2022 Asia Cup took the monkey off his back. Although Kohli is still working to regain his form in the Tests, the knock saw him return to his vintage best in the limited overs format, becoming India's top run scorer in the T20 World Cup 2022 and ODI World Cup 2023.
