On Monday, January 13 at Huzoori Bagh in Lahore Fort, the draft for the forthcoming 10th season of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) was conducted successfully. With 116 players from 10 countries on the rosters for the forthcoming season, the six teams selected a number of well-known figures in international cricket. The tenth season of the PSL is slated to start on April 8 and end on May 19. The two-time champion Lahore Qalandars signed Daryl Mitchell, a New Zealand batsman, as their first pick in the draft. Former Australia batter David Warner, the second pick in the first Platinum round, was signed by 2020 Champions Kings.
After finding no takers in the Platinum round, star New Zealand batsman Kane Williamson was later selected by the Karachi Kings in the supplemental Round 1. Williamson will go to Karachi to join his Kiwi teammate Adam Milne. In addition to him, US batsman-wicketkeeper Andries Gous was a noteworthy draft selection. He was the second player from his country to be selected in the PSL, following fast bowler Ali Khan, who was signed by the Karachi Kings for the 2020 campaign.
