However, Besides Suryavanshi's ace knock, what caught everyone's eyes was fiery exchange between UAE wicketkeeper, Saleh Amin and Suryavanshi. UAE's keeper kept sledging Suryavanshi but the young Indian opener chose to respond in style, retaliating by aggressively smashing the bowlers all around the park. Suryavanshi looked well on his way to scoring a double century, but his brilliant innings came to an end against the run of play when he was bowled by Uddish Suri. Nevertheless, he had completed the main task, and the middle-order provided the necessary finishing flourish, ensuring the team surpassed the 400-run mark.

After the game, Suryavanshi was asked about the verbal volley during the match. It was at this moment that Suryavanshi delivered an absolute cracker of a reply, firing back at his on-field rival.

"Mai Bihar se belong karta hu. Piche se koi kuch bhi bole, utna farak nahi padhta (I belong to Bihar. No matter what the other person is saying from behind, I really don't care). The keeper was talking to me, it's their job to keep saying things, but I was focused on my own game, and I was looking to do what I wanted to do,” Suryavanshi during the post-match presentation

The batting prodigy from Bihar then talked about his batting approach and said that his primary focus during the innings was simply to stay at the crease for as long as possible to ensure the team was in a strong position.

“I was trying to play as long as possible. At the start, I took some time as I was reading the wicket. After 10-12 balls, I started to back my game. I played one reverse sweep and one scoop shot. I was practicing before the game hence I brought it out in the game,” Suryavanshi signed off.

India’s next match in the U19 Asia Cup will be a highly anticipated clash against Pakistan, scheduled for Sunday, December 14.
