In a series of big moments, South Africa have given a first International assignment to Duan Jansen, the twin brother of star pacer Marco Jansen. The uncapped speedster was named in the squad for the upcoming limited-series against Namibia on Tuesday, August 11. The tour will include a T20I tri-series between South Africa, Namibia and Zimbabwe, followed by a three-game ODI series between the Proteas and the hosts.
With regular white-ball players Temba Bavuma and Aiden Markram given a rest from the Namibia tour, South Africa have given the leadership duties to spinner Bjorn Fortuin for the upcoming limited-overs assignment.
The squad also features several young names, with Dewald Brevis among the more experienced young players after already appearing for the Proteas across all three formats. He will be joined by Tony de Zorzi, Lhuan-dre Pretorius, Jason Smith and pacer Kwena Maphaka for the upcoming assignment.

Duan Jansen's previous record
Before getting the call-up, Duan managed to appear in 29 First-Class, 35 List A and 57 T20 games. The 26-year-old paceman managed to take 45 wickets in List A cricket and 64 scalps in the T20s. Notably, Duan possesses the ability to contribute with the bat just like his Twin brother Marco.
Windhoek's Namibia Cricket Ground will host the entire white-ball assignment, starting with the T20I tri-series from August 28 to September 6. South Africa then remained at the venue for a three-game ODI series against Namibia, with the games taking place on September 9, 11 and 13.
