In a series of surprising events, Bollywood star Tiger Shroff won't take part in Mumbay FC's Durand Cup 2026 group-stage game against Nongkseh SS&CC in Shillong on Tuesday following a last-minute commitment related to work that forced him to pull out of the clash.
Tiger Shroff to miss Mumbay FC's game in Durand Cup
Mumbay FC will be without the 36-year-old actor for their upcoming Group E game in Shillong. Despite being registered with the club for its first-ever Durand Cup campaign, he has decided not to make the trip to the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. The actor confirmed the news through a video uploaded on the team's Instagram page.

"Really, really unfortunate, but a work commitment has come up at the last moment, so I would not be able to make it to Shillong for the Durand Cup," said Tiger in the video.
While continuing, Tiger said that he was looking forward to playing for the club, but did not forget to wish his teammates for the game.
“I was really looking forward to playing for my team Mumbay FC but unfortunately I would not be able to make it. All the very best to everybody out there. The tournament has been amazing. All the very best Mumbay FC. Kill it boys,” added Tiger.
Tough start for Mumbay FC
It has been a tough debut campaign for Mumbay FC, who are yet to find their place in the Durand Cup. The side conceded five goals without reply in each of their first two games against Langsning FC and Shillong Lajong. They will aim to finish their group-stage campaign on a high-note when they face Nongkesh third and final game.
