He played a 297-run knock against Meghalya.

Virender Sehwag said that he missed a Ferrari by 23 runs.

In the U-19 Cooch Behar Trophy encounter between Delhi and Meghalaya, Aaryavir Sehwag, the son of Indian cricket legend Virender Sehwag, put on an incredible display by smashing an astonishing knock of 297 runs off just 309 balls. Aaryavir showed great skill and maturity by opening the innings alongside Arnav Bugga. He stayed undefeated after hitting a 200 on Thursday, which included two soaring sixes and 34 boundaries. Bugga, who contributed a rapid 114 off just 108 balls, was the ideal counterpoint to him at the other end.

Meghalaya scored 260 runs in their opening innings, and Delhi took control of the game with Aaryavir was firmly holding the fort as they finished the second day with 468 for 2 in 81 overs. As the squad strengthened their hold on the game, Dhanya Nakra, who was undefeated at 98 completed his ton as well on Day 3. However, both of their knocks eventually came to an end and Delhi declared their inning at 623/5 after Aaryavir's departure.

Aaryavir kept on progressing the scoreboard on Day 3 and reached the 297-run mark and it appeared as the triple hundred was inevitable for the player. However, he fell short by 3 runs to reach the milestone. His father reacted to the knock and praised him but said that he missed a Ferrari by 23 runs.

This showed that the father and son probably had a deal that if Aaryavir could get past Sehwag's highest score which is 319, he would get a Ferrari.

"Well played @aaryavirsehwag. Missed a Ferrari by 23 runs. But well done, keep the fire alive and may you score many more daddy hundreds and doubles and triples. Khel jaao," wrote Virender Sehwag from his official 'X' handle.
