Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has officially announced Mohammad Rizwan as the new new white-ball captain. He will be replacing Babar Azamk, who stepped down from the top post following an embarrassing outing in the latest edition of the T20 World Cup 2024 which was held in USA and West Indies. Babar took this decision after Pakistan for the first time ever failed to qualify for the next round of the tournament.
Mohammad Rizwan will be leading the team in the upcoming tour of Australia as his first assignment as the captain. Pakistan team will be competing in three ODIs and T20Is in that tour. Salman Ali Agha will be the vice-captain of the side.
