Prithvi Shaw made his One-Day debut for Northamptonshire in England Domestic One-Day Cup 2023. Shaw on his debut was holding on to one end while wickets fell from the other end but was surprised by a bouncer and ended up getting out hit wicket.
Against Netherlands fast bowler Paul van Meekeren, Shaw was surprised by the bouncer. He went for the pull shot but could not get the bat on the ball. In doing so, he lost balance as well and fell on the wickets. He got out hit wicket and looked at the bails in disbelief.
