Amid India and Pakistan border tensions, a drone reportedly crashed near the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, which damaged the venue ahead of the Karachi Kings vs Peshawar Zalmi match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2025. According to a Pakistan media report, police sources said that the drone was suspected to be operated for surveillance purposes.
The report further stated that the attack caused partial damage to a nearby restaurant building near the stadium. PCB has earlier called off the clash between Karachi Kings and Peshawar Zalmi, which was supposed to take place at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi. Pakistan rescheduled PSL matches
PCB has relocated all remaining matches of PSL 2025 to Karachi amid India's 'Operation Sindoor' to fight terrorism. As per the Pakistan media, the decision was taken during an emergency meeting held at Gaddafi Stadium on Wednesday, attended by PSL franchise owners and representatives from law enforcement agencies.
There are threat looming over Pakistan's upcoming home T20I series against Bangladesh, which is scheduled to take place from May 25.
