Rishabh Pant will return to competitive cricket in IPL 2024.

Pant had a piece of advice for England's Bazballers as well.

India's dynamic wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant has been away from the game after his unfortunate car accident. Fans have not just missed Pant's batting but his witty remarks behind the stumps. As Pant gears up for his comeback, he talked to Michael Vaughan and Adam Gilchrist on the Club Prairie Fire podcast.

During the podcast, Gilchrist asked what he would say to throw Vaughan off his game while wicketkeeping to which he replied, “I would say (to Vaughan) you’re focussing too much on social media.”

No one-liners for Gilchrist

On the other hand, Pant had no witty remarks for Gilchrist as he said, “He’s in his own zone, you cannot disturb these kind of people. Nothing much I can say to him.”

Advice to England’s Bazballers

Pant was also asked about any advice Pant would give to the England cricket team for the next year's Ashes series considering his success on the island nation.

“They already know what they need to do. As a batsman, I would say a simple thing, instead of punching the ball, look to cut the ball. That’s what I would say (to England’s Bazballers). Because when you punch the ball there are more chances of you getting caught, or just getting out. Australia is the best place for cuts and pulls. The fuller ball will not disturb you much. Mostly it’s going to be back of length. These guys bowl the fuller ball a little wider off the off stump. In England, you can punch the ball in a better way,” the 26-year-old said.

Later, Vaughan joked about Pant getting invited to join England's coaching staff. Pant had a diplomatic answer as he replied, “Then the players will say ‘this kid is going to teach us how to play’. Don’t put me in a spot like that.”

Anderson the toughest England bowler Pant has faced

Another question that went Pant's way was the England bowler he liked taking on the most. Pant said he liked to go after all of them but the most difficult was veteran pacer James Anderson. He lauded Anderson for his work ethic.
