The Oval Invincibles will reportedly be renamed as MI London

Oval Invincibles have won The Hundred twice

Oval Invincibles, which is the most successful team of The Hundred with two titles in the first four seasons, may get renamed as MI London next season. According to a report by The Telegraph, the Invincibles will be rebranded as MI London as the name is the first choice of their co-owners from India.

The report further stated that Surrey, who had entered a partnership with the owners of Mumbai Indians (MI), wanted the name of the county in the rebranded Oval Invincibles, however that is now unikely to happen.

“The name of the franchise from next year has been a contentious issue from the start and is not yet confirmed in writing. However, Telegraph Sport understands that it will be called MI London despite the wishes of Surrey, who initially wanted the county name incorporated into a rebranded Oval Invincibles," the report stated.

Meanwhile, several name changes are expected to take place in The Hundred next season. The Manchester Originals will be called as the Manchester Super Giants while the Northern Superchargers will add 'Sunrisers' to their name.
