Among those who might get an opportunity are 17-year-old Ayush Mhatre, who represents Mumbai and the Chennai Super Kings, and the 14-year-old batting prodigy from Binrah Vaibhav Suryavanshi, who recently turned heads with a historic yet breathtaking century in IPL 2025 clash between Rajasthan Royals and Gujarat Titans. The tour is expected to feature other talented youngsters as well.

The last time the India Under-19 team was in action was in December of the previous year during the Asia Cup held in the UAE, where they reached the final but ultimately suffered a defeat against Bangladesh.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi's historic century takes IPL 2025 by storm

Talking about Vaibhav Suryavanshi's spellbinding century which took the IPL 2025 by story, the 14-year-old scripted history with a lightning ton to help Rajasthan Royals overhaul the Gujarat Titans' colossal 210-run target with 25 balls and eight wickets to spare on April 28 at the Sawai Man Singh stadium. The young left-handed batsman fearlessly took on the star-studded GT's bowling attack, dispatching the ball to all corners of the ground as he reached his century in a mere 35 deliveries. His strong mindset and apparent lack of fear were evident as he completed his milestone with a towering six off Rashid Khan. The sheer brilliance of the 14-year-old's innings compelled the entire stadium to rise to its feet in admiration as he etched his name in IPL history with the second-fastest century ever recorded, a breathtaking 35 balls.

Earlier in his innings, Suryavanshi had raced to his half-century in just 17 balls, and he showed no signs of slowing down, continuing his aggressive assault on the Titans' bowlers. He stamped his authority on the match by smashing Afghanistan's Karim Janat for a remarkable 30 runs in a single over. Following this onslaught on his countryman, Rashid Khan took it upon himself to try and stem the flow of runs, but even he couldn't contain the young prodigy. When Suryavanshi reached 94, he once again dispatched Rashid for a six, solidifying his place as the second-fastest centurion in the tournament, only behind Chris Gayle's blistering 30-ball record.
