Mumbai Indians (MI) shared a clip where skipper Hardik Pandya, along with Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah, Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Varma, Deepak Chahar, Will Jacks, and Trent Boult into a team of animated superheroes, each with a unique origin story, power, and purpose ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026. 

Mumbai Indians (MI) took their 'X', formerly known as Twitter, to share a clip where the animated superhero version of Hardik Pandya-led side came to rescue the city. The social media post went viral in no time, here is the clip.

MI shared a clip on social media because the franchise launched Season 2 of ‘Mighty Indians, ’ which is an animated webisodes on youtube. 

Earlier, during the IPL 2025, MI punished their star players like Tilak Varma, Will Jacks and Raj Angad Bawa after the match against Chennai Super Kings for late-coming offence. The franchise asked the trio to wear unique MI-themed superhero costumes with capes. All three players accepted the punishment and were seen in interesting costumes and also posed for the camera and being happy with the audience clicking their photos, while also involving other teammates, including Suryakumar Yadav.

Mumbai Indians campaign in IPL 2025

MI made a memorable comeback in the last edition of the cash-rich league as the five-time champions sealed their berth for the semifinals of the mega event after getting a bad start. The Hardik Pandya-led side qualified for the semis after only one win in their first five game, they were close to the bottom of the points table in IPL 2025. Around the halfway mark of the league stage, the Mumbai-based franchise turned a corner and made it to the playoffs with a six-match winning streak along the way.
