India vs Bangladesh 1st Test match was Pant's first outing for India in red-ball cricket after making a comeback from a near-fatal car accident.

Before 1st Test match against Bangladesh, Pant last played a Test match in Mirpur in December 2022. Pakistan's legendary speedster revealed that they all were worried when they heard about Pant's accident.

Speaking to Sportskeeda, Akram said, “Look at Pant’s performance, the miracle that he has performed by showing he is superhuman by returning from his tragedy. The way his accident happened, we were all worried in Pakistan, I was worried and tweeted about him.”

Pant was part of India's team that won the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Australia. Pant is one of the most destructive cricketers in Test format. He also recalled Pant's reverse sweep on England's James Anderson during India's tour of England in 2022.

“The way he used to play in Test cricket, the way he performed in Australia with the century then. The way he batted against England, playing a reverse sweep against James Anderson in Test cricket, even Pat Cummins. He’s special,” Akram said.

Akram reckoned that Pant's story to be told for generations and generations to motivate young people in the world.

“Especially what he has been through in that horrific accident, coming back from that, how mentally strong must that boy be. That’s a story to be told for generations and generations, in my opinion, to motivate young people of the world. You can come back the way Pant did. He came back and averaged 40 in the IPL, 446 runs at a strike rate of 155, woh miracle baccha hai (he’s a miracle kid),” he added.

Pant made his comeback in cricket in IPL 2024 after that he was shortlisted for India's T20 World Cup squad where he scored 171 runs. His first Test outing was in the first Test match against Bangladesh. Pant will now feature in the 2nd Test match against Bangladesh which is scheduled to start from September 27 to October 1.
