23-year-old opening batter Yashasvi Jaiswal has written an email to the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) to withdraw his NOC to switch from Mumbai to Goa. He wants to continue representing Mumbai in the upcoming domestic season. This comes a month after Jaiswal had applied from NOC to play for Goa.
“I the undersigned would request your goodself to consider my request in withdrawing my NOC given to me as I had some family plans in shifting to Goa which for now has been curtailed ! So I sincerely request MCA to allow me to play for Mumbai this season ! I have not submitted the NOC to BCCI nor to Goa Cricket Association,” Jaiswal wrote in email to MCA, as per the Indian Express.

Earlier, Jaiswal had justified his move to Goa by saying that they had offered him a leadership role.
“It was a very tough decision for me. Whatever I am today is because of Mumbai. The city has made me who I am, and all my life, I will be indebted to the MCA,” Jaiswal told the English daily.
“Goa has thrown me a new opportunity and it has offered me a leadership role. My first goal will be to do well for India and whenever I’m not on national duty, I will be playing for Goa and try to make them go deep into the tournament. This was an (important) opportunity which came my way and I just took it,” the southpaw added.

Jaiswal's form in IPL 2025
Jaiswal is currently Rajasthan Royals' (RR) leading run-scorer in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 which has been suspended indefinitely due to escalation on the India-Pakistan border. While RR have been eliminated from the playoffs race, Jaiswal has found form and scored 473 runs from 12 innings at an average of 43, including five half-centuries.
