Himmat Singh smashed a hit a six off the final ball to give Delhi a thrilling six-wicket win over Tamil Nadu in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Delhi needed two runs from the last ball. Himmat lifted Gurjapneet Singh over point, and although Shahrukh Khan got a hand to it but he was unable to hold the ball, sparking wild celebrations after Delhi had survived a run-out scare off the penultimate ball.
Delhi off to a good start vs Tamil Nadu
Coming back to the match, while chasing 199, Delhi were off to a good start as the opening duo of Yash Dhull and Priyansh Arya added 52 runs in just over five overs. Arya, who made a quick 35 off 15 balls, fell to Sonu Yadav, but Dhull continued to keep the momentum going. He put together an important stand with captain Nitish Rana, who scored 34 off 26.

Dhull was Delhi's highest run-getter with a well-made 71 off 46 balls, hitting four fours and four sixes before being dismissed with 28 runs still needed. Ayush Badoni then played a steady hand and guided the chase with an unbeaten 41 off 23 balls.
Tamil Nadu's first innings
Earlier in the day, Tamil Nadu posted a strong total thanks to attacking half-centuries from Tushar Raheja (72 off 41) and Amit Sathvik (54 off 40). Their innings helped the team reach a competitive score, even though Varun Chakaravarthy had a tough outing, conceding 47 runs without taking a wicket.
With this nail-biter defeat against Delhi, Tamil Nadu is still searching for its first win of the tournament, while Delhi picked up its first victory. Tamil Nadu will now face Uttarakhand in their third clash, which will take place at the same venue.
