Cricketing legend Virat Kohli penned down an heartfelt message for the Suryakumar Yadav-led side for their T20 World Cup triumph. India defeated New Zealand by 96 runs in the final at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. 

Kohli, who announced his retirement from T20Is after India's last T20 World Cup 2024 triumph, lauded the side for their explosive cricket throughout the tournament. 

"Champions ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Phenomenal win for Team India in Ahmedabad. Absolutely no match for the explosive cricket played by us throughout the tournament. Brilliant character shown by the boys to keep fighting in tough situations and become world champions once again. Congratulations to all the players and all the members of the management for achieving this feat" posted Virat Kohli.

India vs New Zealand T20 World Cup final

India produced a dominating batting show to defeat New Zealand by 96 runs in the summit clash and defend the T20 World Cup title after posting a record total. Powered by a blazing 89 from Sanju Samson and explosive half-centuries from Abhishek Sharma (52) and Ishan Kishan (54), India's top order went on a six-hitting spree to leave the New Zealand bowlers shell-shocked in the title clash, posting a massive 255 for five. New Zealand managed to score 159 runs as India defeated them by 96 runs. With this win, India becomes the first-ever team to win three T20 World Cup titles.
