How India Made It to the Semi-Finals
India pulled off a record chase of 196 runs at Eden Gardens in Kolkata, knocking the West Indies out of the tournament. It was the highest successful run chase in T20 World Cup history at that venue. Sanju Samson played a key role, scoring an unbeaten 97-run knock to guide the team home in a high-pressure game.

After their defeat to South Africa in the Super 8 stage, India kept their hopes alive with wins over Zimbabwe and the West Indies.
