Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Mohsin Naqvi said that a final call on whether Pakistan will boycott its T20 World Cup match against India will be taken within the next 24 hours. He confirmed that discussions are ongoing with the International Cricket Council (ICC) and also involve Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president Aminul Islam Bulbul.
When will PCB announce their official decision?
Speaking at a press conference, Naqvi said the PCB is waiting for responses from both the ICC and the Bangladesh Cricket Board on several concerns raised by Pakistan. The high-profile match against India is scheduled to be played in Colombo on February 15.

“We have had discussions with all parties. It would not be appropriate for me to comment right now. Once we receive their response, we will take a decision. After that, we will consult the Prime Minister,” Naqvi told reporters.
He added that an official announcement is expected by Tuesday or Wednesday.
Mohsin Naqvi hinted that Pakistan will play against India
Naqvi said the PCB had hosted ICC officials with respect and stressed that talks were still underway, which hints that Pakistan will likely to take u-turn from their decision to boycott the T20 World Cup tie against India.
“Bangladesh’s position was valid, and that is why we stood by them,” he said.
Bangladesh were removed from the tournament after refusing to travel to India, citing security concerns.
Sports Tak understands that Naqvi will brief Sharif and request him to withdraw the boycott call after being persuaded to do so by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president Aminul Islam Bulbul.
