Yashasvi Jaiswal is reportedly all set to make his comeback to the Vijay Hazare Trophy before the end of the year. The 23-year-old didn't feature in Mumbai's opening game of the tournament against Sikkim and will not be playing against Uttarakhand either. However, according to a report by The Times of India, the batter will make his comeback to the domestic competition in the third round where Mumbai will face Chhattisgarh on December 26.
The report further stated that Jaiswal will be featuring in the games that follow and this will come as nothing short of a major boost for Mumbai. The left-hand batter's return may see him open alongside Rohit Sharma, who smacked a fine hundred against Sikkim.
Jaiswal's recent setback
Jaiswal was recently seen in action for Mumbai in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Though the team failed to qualify for the final, the young batter did play a phenomenal knock of 101 against Haryana in the Super League stage. However, he also faced a big setback following Mumbai's final SMAT encounter against Rajasthan and was hospitalized in Pune due to acute gastroenteritis. But, it wasn't anything serious and Jaiswal is expected to return to action soon.
