Uttar Pradesh captain Rinku Singh continued his fluent form in domestic cricket and smacked a superb hundred against Chandigarh in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. After coming out to bat in the middle-order, the left-hand batter showed no mercy to the opposing bowlers and hit boundaries all around the Sanosara Cricket Ground in Rajkot. He remained unbeaten on 106 as UP posted a mammoth total on the board after the end of 50 overs.
After being invited to bat first, UP lsot opener Abhishek Goswami early in the third over, but a valiant partnership between Aryan Juyal and Dhruv Jurel got them off to a strong start. The duo played several brilliant shots as the opposing bowlers failed to control the run-flow. Jurel proved to be the aggressor among the two and went on to reach his fifty soon after.

After the latter was dismissed for 32, the duo of Juyal and Rinku took UP's total to incredible heights.
Juyal scores sensational hundred
Both the batters went on to dominate and after hustling on the crease for a long time, Juyal finally went on to bring up a well-deserved hundred. He was assisted very well by Rinku from the other end, who kept on scoring runs at a rapid pace as UP crossed the 300-run mark with six overs left to spare. However, Juyal lost his wicket in the very next over for a well-played knock of 134 runs.
Rinku helps UP finish off strong
But Rinku wasn't done yet and ensured that UP finished off their innings on a strong note. He hit a flurry of boundaries and went on to reach triple figures after facing just 56 deliveries. The side scored 63 runs in the final six overs and the vast majority of them came from Rinku's bat, who remained unbeaten on 106 after hitting 11 boundaries and 4 towering sixes. This explosive knock helped UP finish off their innings on 367/4 and set up a formidable target for Chandigarh.
