Australian opener Chris Lynn was at his best during the T20 Blast clash between Leicestershire and Northamptonshire on Friday, June 2. Lynn's unbeaten century helped his team chase down a total of 164 runs in just 18.5 Overs as they condemned their opponents to their fifth straight loss and left them winless in the competition.
Lynn faced 68 balls during his innings, including 13 fours and 5 sixes.
He was the sole aggressor in what was a predominantly easy run chase, with Emilio Gay (13 off 9), Saif Zaib (15 off 19) and skipper David Willey (20 off 18) scoring the remaining runs for their team.

The Australian had hit an unbeaten century against the same opposition opponents in the 2022 edition of the competition as well, and before this game, was only able to score 66 runs in the ongoing season. He took the game to the Foxes as the Northampton-based side's opener Lynn plundered 5 sixes and 13 fours to share an 81-run stand in 8.5 overs with skipper David Willey as the Steelbacks reached their target of 165 with seven balls to spare.
It was also his third T20 century for the club.
In the first innings, Ben Sanderson took three wickets for just 12 runs in the first two overs of his first T20 game of this season. He took a wicket off the second ball of the game and conceded just a single in his opening over to put the pressure firmly on Leicestershire.
For the opponents, Louis Kimber hit a fighting 41 off 27, Andrew Tye also entered the fray with his three for 30, as Naveen-ul-Haq joined the party with his 25 off just eight balls to take his team to a competitive total. David Willey and Freddie Heldreich bagged one wicket each.
