In a weird incident during the second T20I match between Australia and the West Indies in Adelaide on February 11, West Indies batter Alzarri Joseph narrowly avoided being run out. In the 19th over of the West Indies innings, Joseph attempted a quick single, but a swift throw from Mitchell Marsh saw bowler Spencer Johnson dislodge the bails with Joseph short of the crease. Surprisingly, despite the close call, none of the Australian players, including the bowler, appealed for the dismissal. Although Marsh began celebrating once the replay was displayed on the big screen, the umpire upheld his initial decision.
Australia all-rounder Tim David expressed his frustration, remarking, "this is ridiculous," following the umpire's ruling.

"Neither umpire shall give a batter out, even though he/she may be out under the Laws, unless appealed to by a fielder. This shall not debar a batter who is out under any of the Laws from leaving the wicket without an appeal having been made. Note, however, the provisions of 31.7,' the rule says.
Glenn Maxwell steals thunder
Turning to the game itself, Glenn Maxwell, renowned for his power-hitting, smashed a century off just 50 deliveries, propelling Australia to a 34-run victory over the West Indies. The 35-year-old displayed remarkable form, striking eight sixes and 12 fours on his way to an unbeaten 120 from 55 balls.
Maxwell's explosive innings guided Australia to a formidable total of 241-4. In response, the visitors could only manage 207-9, with skipper Rovman Powell leading the fight with a gritty 63.
"It was good fun, that's for sure. Always good batting here, we saw in the Big Bash how good the wickets were during the tournament," Maxwell said.
"The wicket was nice and true. I have always relied on my hand speed and it worked for me today. I give myself the best chance always and nice to play a positive knock," he added.
