WPL has produced two different champions in its first two editions. The inaugural tournament in 2023 saw Mumbai Indians clinch the title after defeating Meg Lanning's Delhi Capitals in the final. The second season witnessed a change in champions as Smriti Mandhana's Royal Challengers Bengaluru claimed their maiden crown, with Delhi Capitals finishing as runners-up for the second consecutive time.

However, MI recaptured the title last season, marking their second championship win, while DC finished runners-up for a third straight season.
