Gujarat Giants (GG) began the Women’s Premier League 2025 auction aggressively, securing two major players right at the start of the event held in New Delhi on November 27. The franchise successfully outbid Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) to acquire New Zealand all-rounder Sophie Devine for Rs 2 crore, a significant jump from her base price of ₹50 lakh. GG then quickly followed up that major purchase by securing the services of Indian pacer Renuka Singh for Rs 60 lakh.
GG entered the auction with a substantial purse of Rs 9 crore, having retained only two players ahead of the event.
