The Women's Premier League (WPL) 2026 Auction list has been officially announced, which will see a total of 277 players going under the hammer. The list features a comprehensive breakdown of talent, 52 Indian capped players, 66 capped overseas players, 142 uncapped Indian players, and 17 uncapped overseas players.

277 players register for WPL 2026 auction

The auction is slated to be held on November 27 in New Delhi and will kick off at 3:30 pm. This group features eight top international cricketers, Deepti Sharma and Renuka Singh from India, Sophie Devine (New Zealand), Sophie Ecclestone (England), Alyssa Healy (Australia), Amelia Kerr (New Zealand), Meg Lanning (Australia), and Laura Wolvaardt (South Africa).

Talking about the valuation of the players, the auction features a concentration of talent at the top base prices. A total of 19 players have registered themselves in the highest bracket of Rs 50 lakh. Following closely, 11 players have been listed in the Rs 40 lakh bracket, while 88 players have a base price of Rs 30 lakh.

The list of registered players also includes four cricketers from Associate nations, who are listed at a base price of Rs 10 lakh. These players are Theertha Satish and Esha Oza from the UAE, Tara Norris representing the USA, and Thipatcha Putthawong from Thailand.

WPL franchises finalised and announced their retentions on November 6. The UP Warriorz will enter the auction with the maximum number of open slots, having opted to retain only one player, Shweta Sehrawat.

Conversely, Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals were the most active in retaining their core groups, securing five players each. The Royal Challengers Bengaluru followed closely behind, making four retentions. Meanwhile, the Gujarat Giants, who reached the playoffs for the first time in the WPL 2025 season, chose to retain just two key players: Ash Gardner and Beth Mooney, meaning they will also be looking to fill several places at the auction.

Mumbai Indians: Nat Sciver-Brunt (Rs 3.5 crore), Harmanpreet Kaur (Rs 2.5 crore), Hayley Matthews (Rs 1.75 crore), Amanjot Kaur (RS 1 crore,) and G Kamalini (Rs 50 lakh)

Royal Challengers Bengaluru: Smriti Mandhana (Rs 3.5 crore), Richa Ghosh (Rs 2.75 crore), Ellyse Perry (Rs 2 crore), Shreyanka Patil (Rs 60 lakh)

Delhi Capitals: Jemimah Rodrigues (Rs 2.2 crore), Shafali Verma (Rs 2.2 crore). Annabel Sutherland (Rs 2.2 crore), Marizanne Kapp (Rs 2.2 crore), Niki Prasad (Rs 50 lakh).

Gujarat Giants: Ash Gardner (Rs 3.5 crore), Beth Mooney (Rs 2.5 crore).

UP Warriorz: Shweta Sehrawat (Rs 50 lakh).
