Grace Harris smashed 85 off just 40 balls that helped the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) to register a dominating nine-wicket win against UP Warriorz in their Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2026 clash. Notably, this is RCB's second consecutive win in the marquee event

UP Warriorz's fightback after early collapse

UP Warriorz fightback after a poor start, recovering from a mid-innings collapse to post 143/5. Veteran all-rounders Deandra Dottin and Deepti Sharma put together a crucial 93-run stand to give their team a decent total. Deepti played an unbeaten on 45 off 35 balls, and Dottin scored 40 not out from 37 balls.

RCB's chase

Chasing 144, Harris set the tone with a dominating start. She smashed the fastest fifty of the ongoing season in just 22 balls, slamming 10 fours and five sixes along the way. Her brutal hitting included a memorable over off Deandra Dottin, where she scored 32 runs, and another 17-run over off leg-spinner Asha Sobhana. By the seventh over, RCB crossed the 100-run mark, which is the second-fastest team hundred in WPL history.

Smriti Mandhana smashed an unbeaten 47 from 32 balls

RCB skipper Smriti Mandhana complemented Harris perfectly, remaining unbeaten on 47 from 32 balls. The pair shared a 137-run partnership, taking the game away from UP Warriorz. Harris eventually fell with just seven runs needed, and Mandhana, along with Richa Ghosh, finished the chase in 12.1 overs, giving RCB their second consecutive win and moving them to the top of the points table.

UP Warriorz cautious start

Earlier, UP Warriorz started cautiously at 36/1 in the powerplay before losing four wickets quickly to get to 50/5 in the ninth over. Shreyanka Patil (2/50) and Nadine de Klerk (2/28) played a crucial role for the Bengaluru-based franchise, removing key batters like Meg Lanning, Phoebe Litchfield, Kiran Navgire, and Shweta Sehrawat. Despite the setback, Dottin and Deepti kept their composure to post a respectable total.
