Although Tahsin was born in Qatar on June 16, 2006, his family traces its roots back to Kerala. His father, Jamshid, hails from Thalassery, while his mother, Shaima, is from Valapattanam in Kannur district.

Raised in Qatar after his parents relocated there, Tahsin developed a passion for football at a young age. His talent quickly became evident in youth competitions, paving the way for a remarkable rise through the country's football system.

The winger honed his skills at Aspire Academy, Qatar's renowned sports development programme, before progressing through the nation's Under-16, Under-17 and Under-19 teams.

Teenager creates history with Qatar national team selection

Tahsin Jamshid's breakthrough came in 2023 when he became the first footballer of Indian origin to feature in the Qatar Stars League, representing Al-Duhail SC at just 17 years of age.

His rapid development also earned him a senior international call-up, and he went on to make his debut for Qatar against Afghanistan.

The biggest milestone of his young career arrived in May 2026 when he was included in Qatar's preliminary FIFA World Cup squad. After surviving the final round of selections, Tahsin officially secured a spot in the nation's 26-member squad for the tournament.
