While Peake now holds the record for the youngest specialist batter to debut for Australia in ODI cricket, the overall record for the youngest Australian ODI debutant still belongs to Pat Cummins.
Cummins made his ODI debut at the age of 18 years and 164 days and remains the youngest player overall to represent Australia in the format.
Australia entered the Pakistan series without several senior stars, with selectors opting to manage workloads ahead of a demanding international schedule that includes a packed Test calendar over the next 12 months.
The ODI series is also expected to play an important role in Australia's preparations for the 2027 ICC Cricket World Cup.
Meanwhile, Pakistan entered the contest after suffering a 2-1 ODI series defeat against Bangladesh and were eager to mark their milestone 1,000th ODI with a strong performance in front of their home supporters.
