Barcelona is already suffering with a long list of injuries and the only good news for them was that star player Lamine Yamal had returned to the squad. However, the club has to wait longer to witness his magic this season as the Spanish sensation has sustained a new injury.
Lamine Yamal sidelined for weeks as Barcelona star sustains new injury
Sadly, Yamal will be out for weeks following the new discomfort as confirmed by Fabrizio Romano. The Italian transfer expert, on his official social media account, wrote:
“Lamine Yamal suffers new pubis area discomfort and will be out for the next 2/3 weeks with new injury.”
As per the football journalist, the 18-year-old will “miss Sevilla game and also Spain call for upcoming games”.
Further, as per a report on Mundo Deportivo, the Spanish winger might also be ruled out against the two World Cup qualifiers against Georgia and Bulgaria.

This will be a huge concern for Hansi Flick and his side. Yamal had just returned from the injury to play the full Champions League against Paris Saint-Germain which the Catalans lost. He was previously featured for a few minutes against Real Sociedad before recording a full-fledged outing against Luis Enrique's The La Masia product was sidelined for three weeks of club football after returning from the national team in September.
The injury after his comeback from Spain had angered Flick and he even accused Spain of playing Yamal on painkillers while he should have been rested. It is to be seen how the La Liga team manager reacts now to the new injury.
