FC Barcelona is set to host Espanyol tonight at the Camp Nou. Ahead of the clash, Hansi Flick named Frenkie de Jong in the matchday squad for Saturday’s La Liga Catalan derby, which is something the fans were praying for since his injury.
This will mark his return from a hamstring injury that has sidelined him since late February. Barca is set to face Atletivo Madrid in the return leg of the UEFAChampions League and the player's return is a huge boost ahead of the clash.

According to a report by the official site of FC Bracelona, it read:
“Frenkie de Jong has been included in the team after he was declared fully fit this week.”
The 28-year-old, who only resumed full training earlier this week, received medical clearance and is available for selection in the home fixture at Camp Nou, providing a timely boost to manager Flick’s side
The Dutch midfielder is also expected to be fully fit for Barcelona’s crucial upcoming clash against Atletico Madrid. His comeback strengthens a midfield that has performed well during his absence, with the team maintaining an impressive unbeaten run across multiple competitions.
Barcelona currently sits atop the La Liga table and remains active on two fronts, including Champions League commitments. Meanwhile, the injured Bernal, Raphinha, and Christensen remain absent, as per a report by the official side of the club.
