Cristiano Ronaldo and his fiancée Georgina Rodriguez have picked the venue for their wedding in the summer of 2026, as per reports. The 40-year-old engaged to his long-time girlfriend Rodriguez in August, nine years after the start of their relationship.

Portugal's news outlet Jornal de Madeira said that the wedding ceremony will take place on the Island of Madeira, where Ronaldo was born. There will be Christian ceremony at the Funchal Cathedral after the striker returns from representing Portugal at the FIFA World Cup in America. The church is the oldest in Madeira, having been opened to the public in 1514, 511 years ago.

There will also be a reception afterwards at a hotel just a mile from the hospital where Cristiano's birth took place. The hotel is also just three miles away from the base of Portuguese club Nacional de Madeira, the youth team Ronaldo represented from 1995 to 1997.

Georgina and Ronaldo have been in a relationship since 2016 and live with their five children in Riyadh. In August, she revealed the news of their engagement when she posted a huge engagement ring on her Instagram, sharing the change in their relationship status.

Cristiano Ronaldo and his fiancée Georgina Rodriguez were together as the Al-Nassr skipper visited US president Donald Trump at the White House last week. The former Real Madrid player made his first visit to the world power in over a decade, honouring an invitation.

Ronaldo's visit to Washington D.C took place with the visit of Saudi crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman to President Trump. The future Saudi monarch had not visited the USA since 2018 and seemed thrilled to have the Portugal skipper with him during the visit. The five-time Ballon d'Or winner expressed his admiration for the US president during his interview with Piers Morgan last month, as well.

Georgina Rodriguez was also present, as she made the trip to the US with her fiancé, while FIFA president Gianni Infantino was also seen in attendance. Ronaldo is expected to be in the USA at some point next summer, as he is expected to be included in the Portuguese contingent to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
