Paris Saint-Germain have advanced to the UEFA Champions League semi-finals in style with a commanding 4-0 aggregate victory after defeating Liverpool 2-0 in a tense quarter-final second leg at Anfield on Tuesday night.

Ousmane Dembélé scored both goals late in the match, after the first half went goalless, dominating Liverpool’s push for an equalizer and delivering a clinical blow to the Premier League side’s European hopes. The French champions arrived in England with a 2-0 first-leg advantage and produced a disciplined defensive performance infront of the opponent’s home crowd.
The Reds dominated possession for long periods but struggled to break down PSG’s organized backline. Dembélé opened the scoring in the 72nd minute with a composed finish, then sealed the result in stoppage time with a swift counter-attack goal in the 90+1st minute.
The result marks PSG’s third consecutive appearance in the Champions League semi-finals under manager Luis Enrique. On the other hand, despite a strong domestic campaign, Arne Slot’s men exited the competition at the quarter-final stage for the second year running. PSG will now await the outcome of the other quarter-final ties to learn their semi-final opponent.
