Erling Haaland Expected to Play Against Madrid

While Man City boss Pep Guardiola did admit following the game that Haaland taking a knee strike came as a scary visual but since he got up and walked like nothing had happened it comes as an encouragement that he will be fit for the second leg of of the UCL playoff game against Madrid.

"When [Haaland] was down everyone was scare," Guardiola admitted. "He got up, walked [off] smiling like always. I didn't speak to him but they didn't come for bad news. Hopefully [he can play in Madrid]."

As it turns out, City fans and coach Guardiola can take a sign of relief as Erling Haaland attended the practice session on Tuesday. Thus, he is expected to feature at the Bernabeu, in what game that could define the season for City.

Pressure on Manchester City

Real Madrid and Manchester City squared off last week at the Etihad in leg 1 of the respective contest. The home side started on a positive note as Erling Haaland opened the scoring in the 19th minute. Madrid equalised in the 60th minute courtesy of a scrappy goal from Kylian Mbappe. Haaland put City in the lead again in the 80th minute but some howlers in defense not only brought the Los Blancos back in the game but they also found the winner in the added time.

The city will enter the Bernabeu trailing by one goal and it will be intriguing to witness what will transpire when these heavyweights of European football will lock horns again.
